Clinical Psychologist

Courtnee Hall, Psy.D. (she/her) is a Clinical Psychologist and Rhode Island resident. She completed her undergraduate studies at Eastern Kentucky University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She later earned her Master's and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at Spalding University. She completed her internship within the Maine Veterans Affairs Healthcare System, then her postdoctoral fellowship at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Before joining the South County Psychiatry team, Dr. Hall worked in a broad range of mental health settings, including community mental health, Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, college counseling centers, and other private practices. This expanse of experiences has allowed Dr. Hall to develop a flexible, client-centered approach to her work to meet her clients where they are in their journey. Dr. Hall works with adults of all ages and backgrounds as they navigate life's peaks, valleys, and the many shades of grey in between. Particularly, Dr. Hall is passionate about supporting clients through life transitional stages, including adjustment to role changes, coping with grief/loss, embracing one's identity, and living with chronic illness/pain. Dr. Hall commonly works with individuals who have experienced or currently struggle with burnout, gender and sexual identity development and exploration, depression, anxiety, interpersonal stress, adjustment to life changes, chronic pain, and trauma. While Dr. Hall often uses an integrative approach to therapy, she primarily employs an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) approach, infusing mindfulness, emotion awareness and acceptance, and values-based principles into her work with clients. Overall, Dr. Hall aims to help clients learn to accept their inner experiences, rather than fighting them, to allow clients to redirect that energy to to living the meaningful, fulfilling lives they deserve.
When Dr. Hall isn't working, she enjoys being in nature, reading, attending so many concerts, exploring new creative endeavors, and playing Dungeons and Dragons with her friends.
