Emily Debold is a licensed mental health counselor who earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology from Connecticut College and Master’s in Clinical Counseling Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive Behavioral Therapies from Assumption College. She completed internships while in college and graduate school, including at Bradley Hospital’s Pediatric Partial Program, Butler Hospital’s Young Adult Partial Program, and Stonehill College Counseling Services.

Emily is formally trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with additional formal training in Exposure and Response Prevention to treat Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and Anxiety-related Disorders. She also obtained training in and incorporates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy into her treatments. Prior to joining SCP, Emily spent several years at Butler Hospital working in various settings including research and as a clinician in multiple partial and intensive outpatient programs as well as several years focusing on treating OCD and Anxiety Disorders in adults in an intensive outpatient program.

Emily enjoys working with adults of all ages with a specific focus on treating OCD, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and specific phobias. Her goal as a therapist is to work collaboratively with individuals to help them obtain a better understanding of themselves and engage in their lives and values in the way they would like to.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and 80-pound golden retriever who firmly believes he is a lap dog. She especially enjoys hiking, being around any body of water, and finding new coffee shops to try.
