Abigail Mansfield Marcaccio, PhD

Andrea is currently a postdoctoral psychology fellow with a wide range of experience in mood disorders, trauma, substance use, and interpersonal skills from childhood through middle adulthood. She has earned her doctorate in School Psychology from Nova Southeastern University and completed her clinical training at Applewood Centers, Inc., a community mental health center for children, adolescents, and families in Cleveland, OH. In addition, she has trained in several other settings, such as a substance abuse treatment center, elementary and middle schools, and a psychological testing clinic. Andrea uses evidence-based approaches, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Therapy (IPT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), emotion focused, mindfulness, and the McMaster Approach to support individuals, families, and couples in building resilience and achieving lasting change. Andrea currently practices at South County Psychiatry, working with adults, couples, and families. In addition to clinical work, Andrea has contributed to research on social-emotional learning and substance use. Andrea is passionate about making a difference in her clients' lives by using a compassionate and collaborative approach.
