About Our Services in New Haven, CT

There are three general types of services we offer the patients of South County Psychiatry - and we personalize our treatments using an evidence-based approach. In other words, we only use techniques that work to help our patients successfully manage their mental health.

We will talk with you to discuss your treatment goals as well as use our expertise to diagnose any mental health conditions. Together, we will come up with a treatment plan that may include the following:

Psychotherapy - The term psychotherapy may sound scary, but it really refers to treatment that involves talking and listening. It is our goal for you to feel heard and release anything that you want to share. Though we also want you to experience something positive from doing so. And that means learning about tools that can help you - and be empowered to use them along the way.

Psychotherapy is often used for many different mental health conditions, such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, addiction, stress, panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, specific phobias, and various negative thought patterns.

Medication Management - Although medication can be used for all sorts of mental illnesses, such as depression, ADHD, anxiety, bipolar disorder, panic disorders, and more,

It is true that some mental health conditions can be better treated with medication. So, at South County Psychiatry, we offer medication management by carefully and methodically monitoring the treatment in order to yield the right results.

Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) - This non-invasive procedure is used to stimulate nerve cells in the brain as part of a safe and effective treatment method for major depression and OCD.
